In the typical master bedroom and bathroom, there is not enough space to get dressed using the bathroom counter and a bedroom dresser. Because bathroom counters usually have cabinets underneath them and bedroom dressers have drawers, the lack of a place to put a chair creates an inconvenience to someone who wants get sit down while getting ready. A dressing table and stool is the best combination of furniture to keep in a bedroom or dressing area. Dressing tables have drawers for storage, table tops for jewelry boxes and perfumes, and a place to store a stool for a place to sit down while getting ready.
A dressing table typically has drawers down the sides and a wide top drawer which can be used for storage. These drawers provide a space to keep jewelry, makeup, makeup tools, and hair styling tools and products. The dressing table top is the perfect place to display pretty glass bottles of perfume atop a mirrored tray. A dressing table stool can be tucked neatly underneath the table while it is not in use, and can be pulled out to perch on while applying makeup, putting on jewelry, or dousing oneself with perfume. People with hair that takes a long time to dry and style are usually stuck standing up during the entire process. Dressing table stools provide the perfect place to sit down comfortably at a nice height to the mirror while styling hair without tiring out the legs with excessive standing in front of the bathroom mirror.
The dressing table should coordinate and match with the rest of the bedroom furniture so it does not look haphazard or out of place. In addition to the table matching the rest of the bedroom, the stool for the dressing table should also match the dressing table and bedroom for a coordinated and neat look. For example, a dressing table made of dark oak wood would look most natural when coordinated with a stool which has oak wood legs, while white or light painted dressing tables would look most appropriate matched with white dressing table stools.
Dressing should not be a painful or agonizing task, and the addition of a dressing table makes the experience of dressing all the more organized and streamlined. The seat of the stool can be flat and hard, but the most comfortable stools have padded and upholstered seats for added cushioning.
